City of Ontario Fixed Route Service

The City of Ontario fixed route service runs Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 5:00pm and on the 1st Saturday of every month from (9:00am - 3:00pm). The fixed route runs a one hour loop with 16 stops through out the City of Ontario. The City of Ontario Fixed Route Service connects with the Idaho Snake River Transit (SRT) City route every hour on the hour at Walmart, which allows riders to connect and transfer in to the Fruitland and Payette areas. The City of Ontario Fixed Route service also has several stops where riders can connect and transfer on to the Ontario/Vale/Nyssa Commuter Route. Routed service buses are equipped with bicycle racks and are ADA accessible.

CITY OF ONTARIO FIXED ROUTE SERVICE

 

The City of Ontario fixed route service is available to the general public Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 5:00pm and on the 1st Saturday of every month from (9:00am - 3:00pm). The fixed route runs a one hour loop with 16 stops through out the City of Ontario. The City of Ontario Fixed Route Service connects with the Idaho Snake River Transit (SRT) City route every hour on the hour at Walmart and allows riders to connect and transfer in to the Fruitland and Payette areas. The City of Ontario Fixed Route service also has several stops where riders can connect and transfer on to the Ontario/Vale/Nyssa Commuter Route. Connection stops are Westpark Plaza/Albertson's, TVCC Science Center and DHS/Harbor Freight.

 

All of our fixed route vehicles are ADA accessible and are equipped with a ramp or lift to allow for wheelchair access. Riders with other mobility limitations or those who are unable to utilize the vehicle stairs may request to use the ramp/lift at any time. Drivers will assist customers getting on and off the bus. Mobility devices must be secured. Front seating is designated for senior and disabled passengers and service animals are always welcome. Comfort animals and pets are not allowed.

 

Our fixed route buses are also equipped with bike racks. Please inform the driver if you will be loading a bike prior to boarding. Passengers are responsible for loading and unloading their own bikes.

 

The number of packages allowed on the bus is limited to the amount the passenger can secure at their seat. Please only bring on to the vehicle what you can maintain during your trip. Carry on items must be stored within the riders seating area and must not block walkways.

 

Please arrive to stops at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time as arrival and departure times can vary. Passengers must have exact fare or pass ready when boarding the vehicle. (Driver's cannot not make change) Children 12 or under must be accompanied by an adult. 

 

If you find a item on the bus, please turn it in to the driver. If you have lost an item, contact the SRT-Malheur Express Transportation & Dispatch Office at 541-881-0000. Unclaimed items will be disposed of after 30 days.

SERVICE ALERTS

 

  • SRT- Malheur Express bus services will not be available and the transportation office will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2019. Services will resume their regular schedule on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

RIDER INFORMATION

Passengers must conduct themselves in a manner that does not disrupt normal operations of the bus and/or compromise the safety & comfort of other passengers or the driver. This is a strict safety requirement. Drivers will radio dispatch and if needed and will call 911 in cases of serious disruptions and potentially illegal activities. Disruptive behavior and other violations of the passenger rules may result in removal from the bus and/or suspension of services.
