Fares are based on a one-way trip and on pick up location and drop off destination. Drivers will require payment upon boarding. Exact change is required and only cash is accepted at this time. SNAKE RIVER ACCESS "PLUS" (Door-to-Door GENERAL PUBLIC)

Snake River Access "PLUS" General Public is a door-to-door, shared-ride transportation service available to all of the general public and provides transportation services that go beyond what the City of Ontario Fixed Route & Snake River Access Paratransit services provide. Rides for this service must be scheduled in advance and are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis until availability has been met. Anyone residing in Malheur County and its surrounding areas is eligible to use the Snake River Access "PLUS" service. Call us to schedule your outing today!

 

SCHEDULING A RIDE

Schedule your ride by calling our dispatch & scheduling line at (541) 881-0000. The dispatch & scheduling line is open Monday - Friday from (8:00 am - 4:30 pm). Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance and can be scheduled up to 1 week in advance. (Reservations for medical appointments may be made longer in advance). Snake River Access "PLUS" rides are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis until availability has been met. Pick up and drop off times are scheduled within a service window of 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after the requested pick up time. Passengers are asked to be ready as drivers may arrive up to 15 minutes prior to the requested pick up time and we only allow for a 5 minute wait time.

 

Please provide the following information when scheduling a ride:

  • Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Pick up Address

  • Destination Address

  • Requested Pick up Time

  • Estimated Return Time

  • Method of Payment

  • Type of Mobility Device (if applicable)

  • If someone will be accompanying you

  • If you will be bringing a Service Animal with you

 

ADA SERVICE ACCOMODATIONS

Snake River Access "PLUS" Service vehicles are ADA accessible and are equipped with a ramp or lift in order to allow for wheelchair access. Riders with other mobility limitations or those who cannot utilize vehicle steps may use the ramp/lift at any time. If you require a personal care attendant to assist you when traveling, your PCA will not be charged a fare. However, the PCA must travel to and from the same location as you. Service animals are always welcome. Comfort animals and pets are not allowed unless contained in a pet carrier. Passengers must be able to maintain pet carriers. Mobility devices and oxygen tanks must be secured.

 

HOW TO CANCEL A RIDE AND NO SHOWS

Passengers should contact the SRT-Malheur Express dispatch and scheduling office at (541) 881-0000 or on the after hours line at (541) 212-9085 to cancel a ride. Cancellations must be made at least two hours in advance or it will be considered a "No Show". Ridership privileges may be suspended due to a pattern of "No Show" appointments (5 trips in a 6 month period).

 

RIDER INFORMATION

Ridership privileges can be suspended due to unruly behavior, profanity, vulgar language and violations of our passenger rules. Drivers will assist customers getting on and off of the vehicle. There is a 3 bag limit on all SRT-Malheur Express Snake River Access "PLUS" vehicles, please only bring onto the vehicle what you can maintain during your trip. Children age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Child Safety Seats and Seatbelts are required. All general passenger ridership rules will apply.
