How you can support senior programs

>  HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT SENIOR PROGRAMS

Donations

Our programs receive Federal Older Americans Act funding and State of Oregon funding. However, these funds provide a minimal level of funding, making it necessary for us to seek out additional grants and awards, conduct fund raising events, and to rely on donations from the local communities we serve.

Whether you choose to make a one-time or an ongoing regular contribution, your tax-deductible donation will be greatly appreciated! Below are some of our most requested services and their costs but please feel free to contribute any amount that you are comfortable with.

$17.50 - 1 week of Home Delivered Meals.

$25.00 - 1 hour of in-home support to provide housekeeping, laundry, personal care, and meal preparation.

$70.00 - 1 Congregate Meal for 20 Seniors.

$75.25 - 1 month of Home Delivered Meals.

Donations can be made in person at 842 SE 1st Avenue, Ontario Oregon or mailed to PO Box 937, Ontario Oregon.

At this time, we are able to only accept Cash or Checks made out to: “Malheur Council on Aging & Community Services” (please do not send cash through the mail).

Volunteers

Please contact us if you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer your time in support of the program! We have volunteer opportunities in our Congregate Meal Sites, as a Meals on Wheels delivery driver, front desk/reception work, contacting homebound seniors by phone to ensure they’re doing well, and other opportunities! Volunteers must be able to pass a no-cost background check on an annual basis.

Please print out and complete the Background Check form and bring it and a photo ID to our office located at 842 SE 1st Ave. Ontario, OR for processing.
